Shalina Healthcare breaks new ground with the launch of its ‘Medical Webinars for Africa’ series

We are all living in uncertain times – and at Shalina Healthcare we recognise we have a responsibility not just in supplying our medicines to those who need them, but to help our doctors, pharmacists and patients in Africa receive the best, most up-to-date information on Covid-19 to allow for better understanding and treatment. With governments across Africa introducing measures to combat the pandemic, we have embraced new methods of communication to ensure Africa is not left behind.

On 1st May, we launched the first in our series of Medical Webinars for Africa. More than 700 doctors attended the live session to hear our host Dr Kapongo Remy, a specialist in Endocrinology, Diabetology and Metabolic Diseases in the Democratic Republic of Congo, present on the impact of COVID-19 on those who have diabetes and practical considerations in these cases. The session was extremely well-received and we are most grateful to Dr Remy for being our first presenter.

We are pleased to announce that the second Medical Webinar was held on 7th May and is focused on Cardiology. If you are interested, please visit our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@shalinahealthcare5426

As leaders in African healthcare, we are always looking to understand how we can improve the lives of the people we serve. If you have any suggestions, please write them in the comments below.
