Composition:

  • ROSHAL 5mg: Each film coated tablet contains Rosuvastatin calcium BP equivalent to Rosuvastatin 5mg
  • ROSHAL 10mg: Each film coated tablet contains Rosuvastatin calcium BP equivalent to Rosuvastatin 10mg
  • ROSHAL 20mg: Each film coated tablet contains Rosuvastatin calcium BP equivalent to Rosuvastatin 20mg

 

Indications:

  • Treatment of hypercholesterolaemia: Adults, adolescents and children aged 6 years or older with primary hypercholesterolaemia (type IIa including heterozygous familial hypercholesterolaemia) or mixed dyslipidaemia (type IIb) as an adjunct to diet when response to diet and other non-pharmacological treatments (e.g. exercise, weight reduction) is inadequate. Homozygous familial hypercholesterolaemia as an adjunct to diet and other lipid lowering treatments (e.g. LDL apheresis) or if such treatments are not appropriate.
  • Prevention of Cardiovascular Events: Prevention of major cardiovascular events in patients who are estimated to have a high risk for a first cardiovascular event, as an adjunct to correction of other risk factors.

Dosage:

  • Treatment of hypercholesterolaemia: The recommended start dose is 5mg or 10mg orally once daily​. A dose adjustment to the next dose level can be made after 4 weeks, if necessary. Children and adolescents 6 to 17 years of age: usual start dose is 5mg daily​
  • Prevention of Cardiovascular Events: The recommended dose 20mg orally once daily​
  • Slowing the progression of atherosclerosis as part of a treatment strategy to lower total-C and LDL-C as an adjunct to diet​: The dose range is 5mg to 40mg orally once daily. The usual starting dose is 10mg – 20mg.
