Composition:
Metformin Hydrochloride BP 500mg/850mg
Indications:
Metformin hydrochloride tablets, as monotherapy, are indicated for the treatment adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes. Metformin is indicated in patients 10 years of age and older. Metformin can be used simultaneously with a sulfonylurea or insulin to improve blood sugar control in adults (17 years and older)
Dosage:
The dose of metformin should be individualized considering the efficacy as well as the tolerance, while not exceeding the maximum recommended daily dose, which is 2550mg for adults and 2000mg for children (10-16 years old)
