Teleshal is a medicine used to treat a condition called hypertension or high blood pressure. It contains a drug called Telmisartan that helps to lower elevated blood pressure. Hypertension can be dangerous if left untreated, as it can lead to serious health problems. Teleshal works by blocking the action of certain substances that tighten the blood vessels. Telmisartan can help reduce risk of heart attacks, stroke, and other complications in hypertensive patients.
Telmisartan is a medication belonging to the class of angiotensin II receptor antagonists, used either alone or with other medicines to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Additionally, it is prescribed to reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, or mortality in individuals who are 55 years or older and have a high likelihood of cardiovascular disease. By blocking the activity of particular natural substances that tighten blood vessels, Telmisartan facilitates smooth blood flow and allows the heart to pump more efficiently.
Telmisartan is in a class of medication called angiotensin II receptor antagonists.
The most common side effects of Telmisartan include sinus pain and congestion (also known as sinusitis), back pain and diarrhoea
