Indications

Ondatron est indiqué pour la prise en charge des nausées et des vomissements induits par la chimiothérapie et la radiothérapie cytotoxiques et pour la prévention et le traitement des nausées et des vomissements postopératoires.

Contraindications

Ondatron est contre-indiqué Hypersensibilité et coadministration avec l'apomorphine ; l'association a été signalée comme provoquant une hypotension profonde et une perte de conscience.>

Dosage
Injection: Adults and Pediatric patients (6 months to 18 years): Three 0.15 mg/kg doses, up to a maximum of 16 mg per dose, infused intravenously over 15 minutes. The first dose should be administered 30 minutes before the start of chemotherapy. Subsequent doses are administered 4 and 8 hours after the first dose.

Oral tab/syrup: For highly emetogenic chemotherapy 24 mg given as three 8-mg tablets administered 30 minutes before the start of single-day highly emetogenic chemotherapy, including cisplatin > 50 mg/m2. Pediatric Use: There is no experience with the use of a 24mg dosage in pediatric patients. Geriatric Use: The dosage recommendation is the same as for the general population. For moderately emetogenic chemotherapy.

1x4T Mouth Dissolving Tablets

Dosage
Tablets - 8 mg twice a day, first dose 30 minutes before chemotherapy. To be continued for 1 to 2 days after completion of chemotherapy. Pediatric Use: For pediatric patients 12 years of age and older, the dosage is the same as for adults. For pediatric patients 4 through 11 years of age, the dosage is 4 mg Ondatron solution given 3 times a day. The first dose should be administered 30 minutes before the start of emetogenic chemotherapy, with subsequent doses 4 and 8 hours after the first dose. To be continued for 1 to 2 days after completion of chemotherapy. Geriatric Use: The dosage is the same as for the general population.
