Indications

Shaxin is indicated for the treatment of i) Lower respiratory tract infection ii) Upper respiratory tract infection iii) Pneumonia iv) Meningitis v) Pelvic inflammatory disease vi) Skin and skin structure infections vii) Septicaemia viii) Surgical prophylaxis ix) Bacteraemia x) Bone and joint infections xi) Intra-abdominal infection.

Contraindications

Shaxin is not suitable to the patients who are hypersensitive to cephalosporins.>

Pack of 25 x 1g vial.

Dosage
For I.M. injection, SHAXIN 1g is dissolved in 3.6ml of Sterile Water for Injection, or 0.9% Sodium Chloride Solution, or 5% Dextrose Solution, or 1% lidocaine solution, shake vial thoroughly to form solution. The lidocaine solution must never be administered intravenously. For I.V. injection, SHAXIN 1g is dissolved in 9.6 ml of Sterile Water for Injection, or 0.9% Sodium Chloride Solution, or 5% Dextrose Solution, shake vial thoroughly to form solution. Continue dilution with 100ml-250ml 0.9% Sodium Chloride Solution or 5% Dextrose Solution to form intravenous infusion.
